I watched the Bachelorette twice yesterday...thank you mr. dvr man...because there was just too much drama with a capital D to take in all at once. If your lost, BooMama recaps it best! But let me just say...

I was a big fan of Jake. I really was. And I am going to miss his pretty little face, but Jake, my friend, you are a cheese monster! If you want a girl like Jillian (which I don't really think you do...try Bachelorette Mayberry next time), you need to come down to earth! It is sad, though because it really does come down to insecurity. Um..."I haven't been honest with you...I know I tell you all the time how much I like you, but I haven't been 'honest' about how much I likelove you"! So sad. So sad.

And to my second fave, Michael. We almost lost him this week too! Come on, Jill, keep him around for the laughs and the dancing. This will probably be his last week, though, sadly. He's just not serious enough for Jill I think, nor is he old man enough.

Jillian has clearly emerged with a type: Dark hair, mature, serious, and quirky. I know I have been so bad at predictions so far, but if I had to guess between Kiptyn, Jesse, and Reid, I'd have to say....hmmm....

Kiptyn...shallow obligatory conversations so they can get to the making out

Jesse...a little predictable, but sweet

Reid...all the quirks to keep her entertained, all the confidence and independence to keep her guessing

I don't know! Play paper rock scissors! That would be about as realistic as this whole thing! Seriously!

I mean, I like Jillian. I've watched every show. But I'm beginning to just not relate to Jillian. Plus, 5 hometown dates! Really! Why do they keep going up on the number?? Most of these guys have only had date and now she's meeting the parents?

Oh, and how about that monkey wrench preview for future episodes which I can only assume means Ed is coming back (as she is in her white dress) and is going to propose! (Again, after JUST ONE DATE!).

On a random light note, I would like to mention that I loved this last episode extra because Blake and I honeymooned in Banff and Lake Louise, so there ya go. And I'm so excited about going to Spain! This show is great! A little bit of soap opera, a little travel channel, and all reality. Money!

cya later Jake. no. really.

"weet nuggles"

sometimes certain things happen that just causes me to "get" how God must feel. Seeing my children love each other is definately #1 in that list. When they show preferance to each other I can get why God wants so much for his children to love each other. It's a beautiful thing.

Bachelorette begins...

Thanks McMommy for your opinions about the Bachalorette, which began on Monday. I, too, think Jillian is a class act and I am so happy she is the Bachelorette! This is the most creepy group of guys I have ever seen though. As if we needed 5 more creepers?!?
1. Foot fetish guy has to go! Tanner P. But I really think Jill knows theres a little something up with him since she said she is going to have to check him out a little better. And is it just me or is does he look like someone?

like, er, Matthew Lillard? or is that just me?

2. The guy that called her a sexy minx and 'Hot Tub Harris' is gone THANK GOD! But huge props go to Jillian for playing that off.

3. Finally, John H.
I really felt bad for that dude, feeling like he had lost his soul mate and all, but he was a creepy close talker. uh...excuse me...give her a little breathing room!

4. What was up with the whole conversation between Brian and Kyle? First of all, I thought Kyle was a cutie. Vintage-Bronx-metro-man with all things artsy to talk about. He was charming, and he looked like Ryan Gosling with the cute overconfident personality to boot (not to mention the fact that he could kick pretty high).
But Brian ???
Why is it that Alabama people always look like redneck idiots on television? I mean, Really? The trailers comment? Seriously? And can someone please tell me why he got a rose?? especially over Kyle??

So, here are my top 5 picks:
1.
Jake the pilot. My hands down fave, but wonder if he seems a little too good to be true.

2.
Kypton is great, but still need to get to know him a bit.
3.
Michael. Just crazy about him and his break-dancing self.

4.
Mathue. Very nice.

5. Sasha is not half bad either. I mainly like him because of his family. They were cute and I think Jillian would have fun with that crew.

And here's my prediction...
Who can tell at this point, and I always get these things wrong, but I am predicting from the previews that Jake ends up being one of the ones with a possible girlfriend or something that would break her heart. I am thinking Michael makes it into the top 2 atleast because it sounds like his voice at the end saying 'i love you'.
So, that's all I have for now, but can't wait til Monday to see how it all unfolds.

The boys are very proud as well. They say, "Yea! We are getting a new uncle!" and "Yea, our uncle has no more excuses to stay away because he's studying :)"

Top 3 people I want to say THANKS to this week...

I have been thinking for some time that I want to use my blog to thank people in my world who I don't tell enough, but couldn't live without. I feel like I say thank you a lot, but for some reason, saying thanks just isn't always enough. So I hope to periodically post it here how much you mean to me for the whole world to see.

1.)
It's only appropote that my #1 thanks on my #1 'thanks' blog goes to my #1! My best friend. We have rarely left each other's side in the last 9 years, know everything about each other, and love each other more now than we ever have. No matter what, we will always be. I can't even start to name all I want to thank him for, but he knows already, thankfully.

2.)Thanks to you for thinking my children hung the moon. Being such a vital part of the village raising them. Helping us make sure they not only receive the best education Birmingham has to offer, but also win their very first fund raisers, and do it in style, wearing the best looking things from GAP and Landsend. Thanks for helping us keep them safe on the road and in a comfy bed every night. Thanks for singing them songs and telling them stories. For everything, thanks.

3.)
Thank you for being the person in my life who has known me the longest and still calls me every day. Thank you that I can always be honest with you, and you always love me anyway. Thank you for thinking I am the funniest human alive even though, clearly, I am not. Thank you for letting me be your baby doll and treating me beautiful while we play dress up. Thank you for being such an amazing grandmother treating my babies as if your very next breath depends on their happiness. Thank you for being the most sacrificial person I have ever known always giving, but also teaching me to take care of myself, and when we fail, still just giving, giving, giving.
