This lunch was inspired by Quincy Coleman's song 'Baby Don't You Cry' because it is extremely special to me and my boys! I had it stuck in my head this morning while I was fixing their lunch. So what did I do? Grab my new heart cookie cutter and make a ham sandwhich with my heart in the middle. Simple but sweet, there was no problems getting the boys to eat!
cute! I still remember the sweet notes that Mom used to slip in my lunch pail. I saved some of them somewhere...
ReplyDeletedo your boys eat edamame instead of chips? wayyyy cool!
Thanks girlie. They do love edamame. They like chips better, but they do love edamame. :) My boys are very "stage-y" when it comes to eating. Elijah was the worst (you know, first one, didn't know what in the world I was doing). He went through a stage where all he would eat was pop tarts (Pop! He called them), then abc's and 123s with meatballs (Balls! He called them), then instant oatmeal (Oatmilk!(peach flavored)). Now he will try anything and ususally eats is all. I had to be very persistant though and use some trickery :) and a ton of positive reinforcement, but they will eat. Now Judah is my picky one, but we actually got him to try rabbit the other night, which was amazing. He loved it! Zion is the weird healthy one. :) His favorite food is salad, but there is nothing he won't try. They are all so different, but the secret is to just keep putting new exciting things in front of them, and use the rule "You get what you get, and you don't pitch a fit".
ReplyDeletePlease stop it! That is so cute!!! I am totally copying that!
